Unique Paneer Chilli Recipe – How to make Chilli Paneer balls

These are the 2 most beloved dishes of India, Paneer and Indo Chinese dishes! And if you combine the two, Then the dish will surely be a super hit! It’s so tasty that you’ll regret not cooking Paneer Chilli Recipe earlier! I was asked to cook Shanghai Paneer because I haven’t cooked it yet, But I thought that probably no one in Shanghai eats paneer, Right? We’re simply reinventing the dish.

LET’S START WITH PANEER CHILLI RECIPE:

Preparation time: 7 minutes

Cooking time: 25 minutes

Serve: 4

INGREDIENTS:

For Paneer Balls:

  • Paneer – 400 gms
  • Chopped Coriander – ½ tbsp
  • Schezwan sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder – ½ tsp
  • Ginger – 1 inch
  • Salt
  • Cornstarch – 1 inch
  • Fresh Bread crumb – ¼ cup
  • Cornstarch (for coating) – 1-2 tbsp
  • Oil

For Sauce: 

  • Red chili sauce – 2 tbsp
  • Schezwan sauce – 1 ½ tbsp
  • Green chili sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Light soya sauce – 2 tsp
  • Tomato ketchup – 3-4 tbsp
  • sugar – ½ tsp
  • Water – ½ cup

For Chilli Paneer Shanghai Style: 

  • Oil – 1 ½ tbsp
  • Ginger – 1 inch
  • Onion – 1 ½ medium
  • Carrot – 1 medium
  • Dry Kashmiri red chillies – 2 no.
  •  Red bell pepper – 1 large
  • Capsicum – 1 large
  • Spring onion – ¼ cup
  • White sesame seeds – 1 tsp
  • Black peppercorns – ½ tsp
  • Fried Shanghai Paneer Balls
  • Sauce ( Prepared )
  • Spring onion – ¼ cup

DIRECTION OF PANEER CHILLI RECIPE:

  1. Take large bowl.
  2. Now add paneer, coriander, schezwan sauce, red chili powder, ginger and salt. Mix all ingredients well.
  3. After that add cornstarch and bread crumbs. & Mix it.
  4. Make small balls and transfer it to a tray.
  5. Now sprinkle cornstarch and coat it.
  6. Now take pan or tawa and fry it till golden brown.

For Sauce:

  1. Let’s quickly proceed with the sauce.
  2. Add red chilli sauce, Schezwan chutney, Green chilli sauce, Soy sauce, Ketchup, Some brown sugar, it’s optional.
  3. Add water according to the amount of gravy you need. If you want gravy, then add 1½ to 2 cups of water.
    And for every cup of water, add a leveled tsp of cornstarch.
  4. Cook it well. Don’t overcook the vegetables while cooking Chinese cuisine.

For Paneer:

  1. In a Pan, add oil, add ginger, onion, carrots and saute it on high flame.
  2. Now Add dry red chillies, red bell pepper, capsicum, spring onion, sesame seeds, black pepper, paneer balls.
  3. Cook this on high flame and add prepared sauce.
  4. Now cook it for 4-5 minutes.
  5. And delicious, unique paneer chilli recipe is all done.

Paneer is been eaten in northern states of India. although a goat cheese called “Rubing” is enjoyed in Yunnan Province, Southwest China.
